THE PRACTICE IN SEA SALT MARCHES

Tidal or Coastal Salt Marshes are fields flooded by brackish waters, with unstable soil, submitted to tides and water currents from rivers that flow into the estuary.  These are coastal ecosystems dominated by grass and shrubs tolerant to salted waters, that occupy the margins and islands of the estuanire plane, in latitudes where the temperature may reach levels too low for the mangroves to thrive.

Under the sun and feeling the wind touching our skin, we can admire the movement of the water, sometimes forgetting we are not in the open sea.  Our gaze can wander, witnessing the beauty of the sky as it borders with the water and the green fields in the far away horizon. It is the perfect place to imagine the sweet water from the rivers merging with the water from the sea, and then the salted water joining different ocean currents all around the planet.  Everything embraced by the atmosphere, the part of the planetary body that connects us all.
