The Founder

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1960, Isa Graell has a degree in industrial engineering and an MBA from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ.  She lived in Italy from 1988 to 2001, when she returned to Brazil. Isa is a yoga and meditation practitioner since she was 20 and in 2012, she qualified for teaching in the Iyengar yoga method. Intuition added to her technical training bolstered her tendency to see the world manifesting as a flow of interconnected processes. In 2016 she attained a master degree in Holistic Sciences at the Schumacher College, Devon, UK, which prompted her research towards fostering awareness about the intrinsic value of ecosystems, aiming to spread an attitude aligned with the maintenance of life and health on our planet. Consequently, she founded P.O.S.T.O. Água and has been developing, practicing and teaching this method since then, in Brazil and abroad.

“I am interested in knowing how living beings thrive in their own habitat, in learning how they live, in witnessing their resilience and in observing the ways water flows in their environments. I am interest in cultivating the pleasant sensation that derives from being in contact with nature.  In my search for ways to foster nature conservation practices, I joined Schumacher College, in Devon – UK. There, after experiencing the Delicate Empiricism approach, I realised it creates a bond between those who practice it and the phenomena in study.  It seemed to me that it could be useful to disseminate an attitude towards conservation, preservation and restauration of ecosystems. Above all, through this kind of practice, I am interested in shortening the gap between delivering information about global warming and ecosystem degradation, and the implementation of effective changes in attitude that are needed now.”

  • Procuro uma planta
  • Observo como me sinto olhando para ela
  • Sigo seus gestos e detalhes
  • Transformo ansiedade em calma respirando
  • Olhar focado, desenho.
  • Assim permaneço respirando suave e profundamente
  • Guiada pelo fluxo da vida, faço contato
  • Unindo meu ser ao que a mim se apresenta
  • A exemplo da água que tudo conecta

  • I search for a plant (which intrigues me)
  • I observe how I feel whilst looking at it
  • I follow its gestures and details
  • I turn anxiety into calm while breathing
  • With a focused gaze, I draw
  • And there I stay breathing softly and deeply
  • Guided by the flow of life, I make contact
  • Joining myself with what’s showing itself to me
  • As water that everything connects
